WEDDING INVITATIONS COLLECTION
FOR SEMI-CUSTOM INVITATIONS
FLAT PRINT/ DIGITAL
Flat printing is the classic combination of ink and paper, creating an image that is level with the surface of the paper. Being the most affordable option, this would be a great option if you're working under a budget and would like to customize your suite even further by adding embellishments.
This is a VERY old technique which gives a vintage, handcrafted look to the invitation. The printing process involves ink application to a pre-designed metal plate, and then transferred onto paper. Letterpress creates the same look as engraving, but at a more affordable price point. Because each piece is pressed separately, each invitation will be unique.
A fine print method where a metallic foil sheet is used on a design plate and then pressed into a heavy stock paper. This transfers the foil to the paper and leaves a slight indentation of the design. This method, like letterpress, works best with cotton paper. The difference is that one uses ink and the other one a metallic foil sheet.
